Hagland Shipbrokers - Unifying the shipbroking services in Haugesund, Esbjerg, Hamburg and Aberdeen.

 After 18 months of cooperation between the offices in Haugesund and Esbjerg and then also gradually incorporating offices in both Hamburg and Aberdeen, we are now pleased to announce that all four offices are being rebranded to Hagland Shipbrokers. All offices in the group will share the same visual identity, e-mail and web page. Hagland Shipbrokers will consist of 27 brokers in total where 17 are working in the offshore & renewables segment, and 10 specialist brokers working within sale and purchase, short sea tank and bulk, fishing and aquaculture. Hagland Shipbrokers is now one of the largest and most experienced offshore shipbroking companies world-wide.  

** With a particular presence in the North-West European Market, we are involved in spot and term contracts across all vessel segments. Our services are mainly focused on, but not limited to, chartering within: PSV, AHTS, Subsea, W2W, Heavy lift, CTV, Tugs and Barges. Furthermore, Hagland also assists clients with short and long term requirements on a global basis, adding value to the procurement strategy of E&P companies and subsea operators.

** Hagland Shipbrokers will also be one of the leading subsea brokers and our team assist Clients with the procurement of any type of Subsea Construction Vessel and work scope worldwide. We provide full support from project inception, strategy development, market engagement, execution and beyond.

** We cover the global long haul towage market and support our clients with requirements in the heavy lift and dry tow segments. Our specialist tug brokers assist clients with any port and terminal support requirements, and have an extensive track record and overview of the market.

** Sale & purchase as well as newbuilding are part of our core services, and we have specialist brokers represented at all offices and across market segments taking pride in bridging buyers and sellers. Our brokers regularly perform vessel valuations for owners and financial institutions.

** Our tanker department in Haugesund focusses on chemical tankers, product and LNG carriers up to handysize, and are involved in project development, newbuilding contracts, and chartering (spot/COA).

** Adding to our experience in the offshore and shipping markets, our Esbjerg office has a strong track-record from sale and purchase of fishing vessels as well as fishing tonnage and quotas. Also our Haugesund office have in recent years been increasingly involved in sale and purchase and newbuilding projects aimed at the fishing/aquaculture industry.

The Aberdeen office has recently relocated to Union Point, Blaikies Quay, with views across Aberdeen harbour, bay and beyond. Des, Yul and Jess have been joined by the highly experienced and well reputed shipbrokers, Conrad Thake and Hamish Morrison.

The team in Hamburg has also moved to new facilities and are now located at Am Sandtorkai 23/24 in the HafenCity district in Hamburg. Max and Dominic have also been recently joined by shipbrokers Maximilian Uhl and Runa Recht and Analyst Niklas Künnemann.

We are delighted and proud to announce that experienced shipbrokers Des Hart and Yul Thomson through their existing Aberdeen-based shipbroking company, have entered into a cooperation agreement with RG Hagland Shipbrokers. Des and Yul have a long and well-reputed track record in the subsea and project markets, and their extensive network and expertise will strengthen the group as a whole. The Aberdeen company will be renamed to Hagland Offshore UK Ltd., and will work closely with the shipbrokers in Haugesund, Esbjerg and Hamburg with immediate effect. 

The offices in Haugesund, Esbjerg, Hamburg and Aberdeen presently employ more than 20 brokers of which 12 devoted to offshore and renewables markets. Together we truly believe we will provide one of the best services in the market for both charterers and owners in the oil and gas, renewables and project markets.

It is with great pleasure we welcome Des and Yul onboard, and we are genuinely looking forward to start working together.

OCTOBER 2018

Vattenfall and North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers have signed a framework agreement for the provision of various Shipbroker services for Vattenfall´s offshore wind farms. The primary purpose of the framework agreement is to meet the high demands on vessels for Vattenfall´s offshore wind farm projects and to provide Vattenfall with services in offshore contractor sourcing.

With a long-term framework agreement North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers will become main partner to provide shipbroker and contractor market services for Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms. Both companies agree that this is an important step in the right direction for a more efficient and cost reducing offshore wind market.

Anders Helsinghoff Fjord, North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers:” This Framework Agreement will further help North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers enhance its position as a market leader in supplying professional shipbroker services to the offshore wind sector. We are very happy to welcome our new employee Mr. Nicolai Bjerg Thøgersen as has join our team full-time in Esbjerg, Denmark as Offshore Shipbroker. Nicolai is coming from the company Niels Winther where he worked in their Marine Service department for over 5 years, Nicolai worked with marine operations for the oil & gas and offshore wind industries, but also for the traditional shipping activities such as dry and liquid cargoes, he mainly worked with offshore wind clients in all kind of different projects.

THE TWO SHIPBROKER HOUSES ´´NORTH SEA HAGLAND SHIPBROKERS APS´´ AND ´´NSH-SHIPBROKERS GMBH´´ JOIN FORCES

Esbjerg/Hamburg, 9 May 2018:

North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers ApS (“North Sea”) of Esbjerg, Denmark, and NSH-Shipbrokers GmbH (“NSH”) of Hamburg, Germany, announced today that they are combining their resources. The acquisition will strengthen the services offered to clients.

The parties have entered into agreements whereby North Sea acquires the majority of the shares in NSH. North Sea and NSH will act as one team and NSH will be renamed to North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers GmbH. Mr. Anders Helsinghoff Fjord will be Director and Mr. Dominic Bigott and Mr. Max Mehringer will be managing partners. The combined organisations will be well positioned to provide a broader range of integrated services and solutions to the industry worldwide.

RG HAGLAND SHIPBROKERS AND NORTH SEA SHIPBROKERS JOIN FORCES IN RENEWABLES MARKET

RG Hagland AS (“Hagland”) of Haugesund, Norway, and North Sea Shipbrokers ApS (“North Sea”) of Esbjerg, Denmark, announced today that they are combining their shipbroking activities towards the renewables market, thereby strengthening the services offered to clients in this growing market segment.

 

The parties have entered into agreements whereby Hagland acquires 49% of the shares in North Sea through a combination of share purchase and subscription of new shares. In all matters related to the renewables market, North Sea and Hagland’s offshore department will act as one team and renewables business will be conducted through North Sea, renamed to North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers ApS. Anders Helsinghoff Fjord will be Managing Director and head of the renewables team in North Sea Hagland Shipbrokers ApS, while Tommy Sandtorv will be head of the renewables team working out of Haugesund. 

The two parties will also cooperate in other relevant areas, strengthening the service offering within other segments such as subsea, oil and gas, tugs, and sale and purchase.

We are very happy to welcome our new employee Mr.Jannick Haarup Rasmussen as has join our team full-time in Esbjerg Denmark as S&P Shipbroker.

Jannick is coming from Maersk Oil where he worked as Rig Expediter for over 3 years, mobilizing equipment and personnel to support rig operations in the Danish Offshore sector. Before for that he worked as an Asset Expeditor supporting logistics to the fixed offshore installations. Prior to Maersk Oil, he worked 1 year for Jutlandia as a logistic coordinator, supporting base operations within the wind and offshore sector. He moved to Jutlandia from Danbor(now NorSea Denmark), where he worked for over 4 years in their Agency, also within the Danish Offshore sector, supporting base operations for various offshore clients.
He comes with an international background, where he has worked and lived in Norway, Tanzania amongst other, before settling down in his home town of Esbjerg with his wife and two kids.
